Cate Vogl, PsyD
Life is a journey filled with ups and downs - sometimes, reaching out for help is the most courageous thing you can do. Although taking the first steps toward therapy can be intimidating, the benefits can be profound.
My goal is to provide a warm and non-judgmental space where we can work collaboratively toward decreasing your symptoms and improving your quality of life. Together, we can develop awareness of patterns that might be creating stuck points for you personally or professionally, as well as process things from your past that may be impacting your present.
About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with graduate degrees in both Clinical Psychology (PsyD) and Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT). In addition, I have specialized training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), EFT for couples (Emotionally Focused Therapy) and RPP (Reflective Parenting Program).
As an MFT associate, I trained at The Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills. Following my Masters, I worked in private practice for a year prior to beginning my doctoral studies.
During my doctoral degree program, I completed my practicum training and predoctoral internship at Cancer Support Community Los Angeles. To further my training in health psychology and medical trauma, I then completed my postdoctoral fellowship at Institutes of Health.
Throughout my education and training I have worked with ages 5+ using a variety of approaches, from CBT and Mindfulness techniques to EMDR and Play Therapy. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach — instead, I create unique treatment plans for each individual based on their symptoms and goals.
