• Depression & Anxiety

Depression and anxiety, while not uncommon, can be difficult to manage and often have ripple effects on many aspects of life. My goal is to provide you with coping skills to decrease symptoms, while also addressing root causes. My approach includes a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory and Mindfulness. To process trauma or move past stuck points, I also offer an evidence-based approach called EMDR*.

  • Couples & Parent Coaching

Using a research-backed approach called Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), I help couples resolve conflict and deepen their connection. This approach focuses on slowing things down, identifying unhelpful patterns and increasing connection.

Often with parenting, a more direct approach is useful. In this work, I coach parents through the challenges of raising children of all ages. This can range from navigating co-parenting after separation and managing tantrums, to setting boundaries with teens or improving connections with adult children. Using a Reflective Parenting approach (RPP), I help parents better understand their child’s emotional world and learning style. Together, we then tailor parenting approaches for increased connection and more positive outcomes.

  • Cancer

During my years at Cancer Support Community Los Angeles (CSCLA), I became passionate about working with those impacted by cancer — both patients and their loved ones. As former head of CSCLA’s Child, Teen and Family program, navigating a diagnosis within the family system is one of my specialities.

Using a meaning-centered approach, I help individuals live fully, while also navigating the incredibly difficult decisions and experiences that often accompany a diagnosis. Through this work, I help individuals navigate a wide range of issues, from end-of-life planning and grief to explaining cancer and its treatment to children.
